Recently, PETA has signed and English Singer Joss Stone, for its anti-fur advertisement. She is just 23 years old and has become the latest prominent name to pose nude for a PETA campaign.

This promotion from the world famous animal rights group is intended for against the regiments of the Queen’s Guard, which wears bearskin hats made up of the North American Black Bear’s skin.

The advertisement holding a slogan ‘Bear Hugs, Not Bear Caps,’ presents the lady singer in front of the Union Jack hugging a teddy bear.

Joss Stone felt very passionate about the campaign and said, “It’s time for the Ministry of Defence to finally make the switch and go fur-free, and I hope that the ad I have created with PETA helps raise awareness and puts a stop to this unnecessary killing.”

However, it has been a long time since the Ministry of Defence has maintained that the fur used for making their headgear is a by-product of licensed culling to manage the bear’s population in the national parks of North America. The Ministry has also issued a statement saying, “The North American Black Bear, whose fur is used, are not killed specifically for the Foot guard’s caps.”
